End Class. It says deletegate method has not specified argument But when i pass argue then says Threadstart accespts only delegate without parentheses. Instant VB will not convert anonymous methods if they reference 'outer' variables or parameters. The best Instant VB can do is the following:. Start End Sub. Cannot refer to an instance member of a class from within a shared method or shared member initializer without an explicit instance of the class.
I m still checking to make it work.. Hi David Anton. Thank You , It is working. Great Job Thank you for helping us find that bug Instant VB should be adding the "Shared" modifier on our methods we add to substitute for anonymous methods when the containing method is Shared. Instant VB , no doubt , is very good tool but at this time It just was not able to help me out.
It did provide that last translation which worked except for the 'Shared' modifier - this is fixed in the latest build. However, it did require modifying the original C anonymous method, before conversion, to not access the local variable.
This condition for manual adjustment will remain until VB has anonymous methods possibly in VB9? It is possible to include logic to handle the case with 'captured variables', but the converted code would have to be restructured too drastically. Dev Center.

Represents the method that will handle the Parse and Format events of a Binding. A ConvertEventArgs that contains the event data. I vote yes. Otherwise how can you know what is the nature of the object you are refering to? Is image. No I can rename an image with this name in ImageJ. Sometimes people rename their image with the full path of the image - not saying it's good practice, but it happens. I see a lot of ways this can create some confusing behaviour. Imagine you want to open two times the same image - maybe the second time because an image is already open it will not open it twice but only link the first opened image.
I believe a String - without specifying any sort of convention - is not enough to define what it really refers to. The question is whether having such converters from String to almost everything would lead to issues somewhere else where such a conversion would not be desired. Maybe we need to adopt a convention, reinvent or reuse URL, like having a protocol name image::imagename or file::filepath. Or just reuse URL.
Here the String refers to an opened image in ImageJ. Typical use case is the macro recording of calling a classifier on an image. For the first use case, I made this temp fix in ilastik4ij repo, which is a String to Dataset converter. Right now these two fix live in separate worlds - and perform their duty. But my opinion is not important, the important point is that both use cases should work, and also, I believe, that the behaviours are easy to understand thus easy to debug.
I saw this discussion on gitter regarding Location and LocationService. Could this be used to solve the ambiguity between a String refering to an open image or a file path?
